- Windows Media Player 11 is out. Incrementally better, but it’s still no iTunes.
- Microsoft and Novell form a new partnership to further Suse Linux in an effort to combat the success of RedHat. This could mean increased open source integration for the workplace.
- The new Xbox Live Marketplace will begin offering HD movies and TV show downloads Nov. 22, around the same time that Nintendo’s Wii and Sony’s PS3 lauch. What a coincidence!
- Doubtless it happens to all IT folks — co-workers asking for advice on their home systems. After years of it, Joe’s had enough.

Yeah, it is very annoying when people at work ask me about their personal home computers. I just tell them to go to the Geek Squad :). I mean what better way to take care of their problem than to have all their data wiped out and having a fresh install even if they don’t need it.
